Release V1.46

V1.46 was released on 2024-Aug-29 and is the current stable version. You can download the release ZIP file (4 MB):

For automated tuning, Lichess-Big3-Resolved has been used, available as separate ZIP file (124 MB): Download training data. Refer to the documentation of the build process for compiling the engine with tuning enabled.

Changes from V1.45

  • Made the root aspiration window in search incremental.
  • Removed pawn race and PV trade deepening.
  • More opening book knowledge.
  • Cleaned up configuration definitions.
  • Updated the ARM GCC version from 12.3.1 to 13.3.1.

UCI versions

  • Moved automated tuner to its own source file.

Windows

  • Updated the GCC version from 9.3.0 to 13.2.0.

Known issues

UCI versions

  • Elo throttling with move time below 15 seconds can add up to 50 Elo instead of subtracting.

Note: issues are fixed with new releases only – there are no backports. However, if an issue is found, it will be listed for the previous releases where applicable.
